Journey Hoops is a fun basketball league hosted for kids in Kindergarten – 5th Grade! We value kids having fun, building relationships, and developing their basketball skills in God-honoring ways. We create opportunities for kids of all abilities to have a great time with their friends. Our amazing coaches help ensure a positive experience for learning and sportsmanship. To register, please complete the online form. Or, you may pick up a paper Registration Form at the church office and make a check payable to Journey Church.

League Registration is $80 and the deadline is November 30.

Please Note: Registration is subject to closing early if the maximum number of kids is reached. As of Monday, November 18, there are the following number of spots still available:

K/1st Grade Division: 15

2nd/3rd Grade Division: FULL. If you would like to be added to the waiting list, please email Eric Rice at Eric@journeyky.church.

Late Registration after November 30 (if there is room on a team) will incur an additional $10 fee.
Schedule Information

We'll host a "Meet Your Coach" Fundraiser at Gattitown on 1/6/2025.

Practices and games for Kindergarten – 1st Grade division will be held on Saturdays beginning on 1/11/2025.

Practices for 2nd – 3rd Grade and 4th – 5th Grade divisions will be held on Tuesday or Thursday nights beginning on 1/7/2025 and 1/9/2025.

Games for 2nd – 3rd Grade and 4th – 5th Grade divisions will be held on Saturdays beginning on 1/18/2025.

Season concludes on 2/22/2025 if there are no weather-related cancellations.
Player Information

Teams will be divided into three different age divisions, with co-ed teams.

Teams will be limited to 10 players per team.

All players must play at least one half of the total game time.

No players can play the entire game unless the team only has 5 players present.

Do you have a 6th grader who is interested in playing? If so, please contact Eric Rice, league director. There may be a few openings based on registrations in the 4th/5th grade division.
Involvement Opportunities
We value kids having fun, building relationships, and developing their basketball skills. The key is amazing volunteers! Would you consider helping our team in one of the following areas? Coach**, referee, scorekeep, concession stand, set-up/tear-down, end of the year party. If so, please indicate that on your registration form or contact Eric Rice, league director.
**Please note: All volunteers must complete and pass a background check prior to the season starting. Coaches must also attend a mandatory coach’s meeting prior to the season starting.
