SALVATION & BAPTISM

Salvation is God’s gift to you if you’ll accept it. It can not be earned through our own efforts. It is only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness that you can be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment you receive Jesus Christ into your life by faith.

Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 1:12; 14:6, Galatians 3:26, Romans 5:1

Baptism by immersion symbolizes the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and is our public declaration that we have accepted Christ as our personal Lord and Savior. Jesus modeled baptism although He did not have any sin. When the church began and people asked what they needed to do to be saved, the Apostle Peter told them to “Repent and be baptized for the forgiveness of sin and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:38)

Mark 1:9-10, Colossians 2:12, Acts 2:41, Matthew 28:19-20, Romans 6:3-5. I Peter3:21

JOURNEY GROUPS

“All people need people”

Acts Chapter 2:42 paints a beautiful picture of Christian Community. The people of the first church prayed together; played together; shared meals with one another; and cared for each other in their times of need. One way we encourage folks to live out this model is to invite everyone to join a Journey Group. These are small groups of 8 to 12 folks who meet one day a week for the purpose of Prayer, Study, fun, and most importantly to build lasting relationships with one another.

Journey Groups meet in sessions of 10 to 12 weeks based on the local school calendar with breaks between sessions. Most groups continue to meet during the summer months with a heightened focus on fellowship and activities.

To get connected into a Journey Group, please fill out the next step form below, or email our Discipleship Minister, Tony Hardin at tony@journeyky.church, and we will be happy to help you get involved!

Lead a Group

If you are ready and willing to help others take their next steps on their Journey toward Jesus, you may want to consider leading a Journey Group. Leaders host groups in their homes and facilitate the groups studies, discussions, and activities. Rooms may be available at the church if meeting in the leaders home is not an option. Leading a group is a great opportunity to build relationships with others and to grow in ones faith while helping others do the same.

If you would like to consider leading a Journey Group, email our Discipleship Minister, Tony Hardin at tony@journeyky.church, and he will be happy to help you get involved.
